How to Fit a Threadless Top

Threadless jewellery does not screw on. Instead, the top has a small pin that pushes into the hollow end of the belly bar and is held securely in place by tension.

2. Create a slight bend
Gently push the top to one side to create a very small bend in the pin. You only need a tiny bend — this is what creates the tension that keeps the top secure.

3. Insert your belly bar
Once you are happy with the fit, carefully insert the belly bar through your fully healed piercing.

4. Push the top into place
Line the pin up with the hollow opening in the bar and gently push the two pieces together until the top sits completely flush and feels secure.

5. Check it is secure
Give the top a very gentle tug. It should stay firmly in place. If it feels loose, remove it and add a tiny bit more bend to the pin before trying again.

⚠️ Important: Never force a threadless top into the bar and don't over-bend the pin. If your piercing is new, sore, swollen or not fully healed, have the jewellery changed by a professional piercer instead.
